No matter what my personal feelings on plastic surgery may be, I have to admire the use of emoticons in this subway advert...

LOL wow that is too funny! I'm a Korean female living in the States (Korean-American) and I've heard several years ago that Korean parents are setting up "surgery trust funds" for their kids so that they can elect to get plastic surgery when they get older. I'm not sure if this is the norm, per se, but I had to shake my head at the thought.
Also, notice how many high schoolers (and younger students) are very plain and all of a sudden there is this quantum leap in appearance when they hit college & beyond? Not that I'm accusing them of all going under the knife, but I did notice that to be a big trend...
I have to say, though, that pretty much most countries in Asia are the same in regards to getting (or wanting to get) plastic surgery. I'm just wondering why it seems that Korea is the one receiving the most publicity about it...Maybe because of ads like the one you posted and that so many celebrities are admitting to doing it now? Who knows...
